What is a Death claim?

A member’s Death benefit includes their superannuation account balance. Where the member who passed away had active Death Insurance cover at the time of their passing, the Death Insurance cover also forms part of their Death benefit (their super balance + any Life Insurance).


A death benefit application must be approved by the fund trustee and can take weeks or months to process and finalise. During this time our team will be working with you to ensure your claim is processed as efficiently as possible – to take the stress away from you.
